The Deputy Governor of Benue State, Dr. Barr. Sam Odeh, on behalf of the state government, received the Oni of Ife, His Imperial Majesty Oba Adeyeye Enitan Ogunwusi, at the Makurdi Airport.
The royal visit is part of activities lined up for the celebration of Benue State at 50. The Oni of Ife’s arrival was warmly welcomed by top government officials and traditional leaders who gathered at the airport to accord him a dignified reception.
Photographs from the occasion showed the Oni of Ife and his entourage being received by the Deputy Governor and other dignitaries beside the aircraft on the tarmac, highlighting the cultural and symbolic importance of the visit to the state’s golden jubilee celebrations.
The presence of the revered monarch is expected to add significant prestige to the series of events marking five decades of Benue State’s existence.
