Police Rescue Eight Abductees in Orokam, Arrest 10 Suspects

In a significant security breakthrough in Benue State, the Nigeria Police Force has successfully rescued eight kidnapped victims and arrested ten suspects in Orokam, Ogbadibo Local Government Area.

The Benue State Police Command carried out the operation which compelled the suspected kidnappers to abandon their captives and flee into the bush. The victims, who were abducted around Adupe in Orokam, were freed following swift police action triggered by a distress call.

The Commissioner of Police, Benue State Command, Cletus Nwadiogbu, disclosed the development on Friday while briefing journalists in Makurdi. He highlighted the rescue as part of the Command’s ongoing crackdown on criminal activities across the state.

This latest success underscores the determination of security forces to tackle kidnapping and other violent crimes in the region, bringing relief to the affected families and communities in Ogbadibo. The arrested suspects are currently in custody as investigations continue.
