Woman Dies After Delivering Triplets in Gboko, Leaves Behind Premature Babies

A woman from Gboko has tragically passed away at the Federal Medical Centre Apir in Makurdi, Benue State, after delivering triplets through a cesarean section.

According to reports, she delivered the babies prematurely and was initially managed at a hospital in Gboko. Her condition later deteriorated, prompting her transfer to the Federal Medical Centre Apir for further treatment, where she succumbed to complications this morning.

The three neonates are currently in incubators receiving care. The incident has drawn attention to the risks and challenges faced by many women with complicated pregnancies and multiple births during childbirth.

The Idoma Ambassadors Forum expressed condolences, praying for the eternal rest of the deceased and protection for the children she left behind.
