The Benue Investment and Property Company Limited (BIPC) has highlighted the significance of the newly established Concentrate Factory as a major milestone in addressing long-standing challenges faced by farmers in the state.

In a statement, the company noted that the factory goes beyond being an industrial asset. It represents a practical solution to the persistent problem of post-harvest losses that have plagued farmers for decades, with tons of tomatoes, mangoes, oranges, and other perishable produce traditionally wasted due to lack of processing facilities.

The Concentrate Factory is positioned as a pace-setter in Benue’s transition from raw agricultural production to value addition and industrialisation. According to the statement, the facility will provide farmers with a guaranteed off-taker, better prices, and an opportunity to build sustainable wealth from their labour.
