Guma Council Chairman Hon. Maurice Orwough Inspects Proposed COAS Battalion Permanent Site in Yelewata

Hon. Maurice Orwough, Executive Chairman of Guma Local Government Council, on Saturday visited the proposed permanent site of the COAS Battalion at Yelewata.

The site, which is currently under construction, is expected to house soldiers of the COAS Battalion led by Lt Col Otobo. The initiative aims to strengthen security presence and promote lasting peace and stability in the area, which has previously experienced violent attacks.

Accompanied by military personnel, the Council Chairman toured the facility to assess the level of progress on the ongoing construction works. The establishment of the battalion is seen as a critical step towards enhancing security infrastructure and protecting communities in Guma and surrounding areas.
