Gov. Hyacinth Alia Urges Massive Support for Tinubu’s Re-election, Pledges Unity in Benue APC

Following his successful participation in the All Progressives Congress (APC) governorship primaries, Benue State Governor, Rev. Fr. Hyacinth Alia, has called on party members across the state to mobilize massively in support of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s re-election bid in the 2027 presidential election.

The Governor made the appeal on Thursday, May 21, 2026, after casting his vote at RCM Primary School, Ihugh, headquarters of Mbadeede Council Ward. He emphasized the need to re-elect President Tinubu to consolidate ongoing developmental strides, including expanded infrastructure projects, economic reforms, investment attraction, job creation, improved security, and strengthened governance.

Alia also pledged to engage aggrieved APC members and aspirants who lost out in the senatorial, House of Representatives, and State Assembly primaries to ensure they remain united within the party and work together towards victory in all elections from bottom to top.

Expressing satisfaction with the turnout during the primaries, the Governor described the massive participation as a clear mandate from the people.

“I can assure you that by the time I am through with my eight years in office, Benue will become a State every one would want to visit,” he said. “What you have seen is not even a quarter of what I have in store for the state. I started from ground zero and had to lay some very solid foundations,” Alia pledged.
