Dajoh Withdraws from APC State House of Assembly Primary Election

Rt. Hon. Hyacinth Aondona Dajoh, former Speaker of the Benue State House of Assembly and representative of Gboko West Constituency, has withdrawn from the All Progressives Congress (APC) primary election for the Benue State House of Assembly scheduled for tomorrow.

The announcement was made on Tuesday, May 19, 2026, and widely shared by media platforms including Ohitty TV/Radio. In a detailed statement released by his media aide, Agber Kulugh, Dajoh cited manipulation and lack of transparency in the ongoing APC primary elections across the state as the reason for his decision.

The former Speaker alleged that the process has been heavily compromised, pointing to reports of pre-filled result sheets in several areas and instances where election materials failed to reach designated voting centres despite winners being announced.

Dajoh expressed deep appreciation to his supporters, stakeholders, delegates, youths, women, and party faithful across Gboko West Constituency and Gboko Local Government Area for their loyalty and support. He urged them to remain calm and peaceful while awaiting further directives.
