The Sankera Staff Forum of Benue State University Teaching Hospital (BSUTH) in Makurdi has unequivocally distanced itself from the persistent cyber attacks and unfounded allegations being propagated by Asom D Jerry against the Chief Medical Director, Dr. Terungwa Stephen Hwande.

In a strongly worded statement, the Forum expressed deep concern over a series of misleading, demeaning, and reputation-damaging publications credited to Asom D Jerry, describing them as deliberately aimed at tarnishing the image of the CMD and the institution. The Forum made it clear that these actions do not in any way reflect the position, values, or collective interest of its members.

The Forum noted that although Asom D Jerry hails from Logo Local Government Area of the Sankera axis, his views and actions are entirely personal and should be regarded as such by the public. It strongly condemned the spread of falsehoods and any attempts to create disaffection within the Forum and the entire hospital community.

On the contrary, the Forum acknowledged and appreciated the inclusive leadership style of Dr. Stephen Terungwa Hwande, whose administration has demonstrated fairness, recognition, and commitment to staff welfare. This is evident in the strategic appointments of competent members from the Sankera axis into key positions within the hospital.

Notably, the appointments include Mr. Titus Gbenyi as Head of Planning, Research and Statistics, Secretary Top Management, and Deputy Director of Administration; Dr. Luper Uva as Coordinator of Muhammadu Buhari Mother and Child Hospital (BSUTH Annex); Mrs. Ter-Akuta Hope as Head of General Administration; Mr. Tsenzughul Moses as Head of Public Relations and Protocol; Mr. Waakaa William W as Head of ICT; and Mr. Bem Boniface Emberga as Transport Officer (TO). These appointments, among others, clearly underscore the CMD’s confidence in the capacity and contributions of Sankera staff.

The Forum emphasised that these opportunities reflect a leadership that values competence, unity, and inclusiveness. It therefore found it necessary to distance itself from any narrative that seeks to undermine such progressive leadership for selfish or misguided reasons.

The statement was signed by Mr. Titus Atimveh, President of the Sankera Staff Forum, BSUTH.
