Lobi Stars Football Club has commenced a one-week recess following the conclusion of the Conference C campaign in the 2025/2026 Nigeria National League season.
The Chairman of Lobi Stars Football Club, Simon Terver Ikya, approved the short break for the Pride of Benue, which began on Monday, March 30, 2026. The recess is intended to allow players and technical staff time for recovery, reflection, and quiet recalibration after a demanding season that tested both grit and grace.
The Alia Boys delivered a strong performance throughout the campaign, finishing in second place with 23 points, just three points behind Doma United, who topped the table with 26 points and secured the sole ticket for promotion to the Nigeria Premier Football League.
Action is expected to resume on Monday, April 5, 2026, when the team returns to the training ground. The focus will then shift to the President Federation Cup and other upcoming contests as the club looks to build on its solid league showing.
The brief break comes as a timely interval for the Benue-based club after a competitive season that showcased their competitiveness in the second-tier league. Lobi Stars will now prepare for the next phase of the campaign with renewed energy and determination.
