The Zone B Traders Association at High Level Market in Makurdi has reaffirmed its unwavering support for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Governor Hyacinth Iormem Alia ahead of the 2027 elections.
This was made known during an interactive session with the Benue State Coordinator of the Renewed Hope Initiative Office of the First Lady, Hon. Mrs. Scholastica Ben-Sor.
In his address, the Chairman of the association, Hon. Terkula Joshua, highlighted the challenges facing traders, especially women, noting the impact of economic reforms. He appealed for increased government intervention through empowerment programmes and financial assistance to help small businesses recover and grow.
Hon. Mrs. Ben-Sor thanked the traders for their resilience and assured them of the Renewed Hope Initiative’s commitment to empowering women, supporting small and medium-scale enterprises, and improving livelihoods. She briefed them on the vision of the First Lady, Senator Oluremi Tinubu.
The traders expressed confidence in the leadership of President Tinubu and Governor Alia.
