A Facebook user, Asom D Jerry, has publicly called out Zege’Orkwande Sughnen Yaaya (also known as Elder Naked Wire Sughnen Yaaya or Edwin Yaaya) over the handling of a personal financial dispute involving Dura Terkula Samuel, a student of the Federal University of Technology, Minna.
In the detailed post, Asom D Jerry stated that Dura contacted Yaaya for assistance after someone allegedly ran away with ₦200,000 meant for the purchase of an iPhone. According to the account, Yaaya charged and received ₦40,000 as a service fee on February 20th, with receipts provided as evidence.
The post claims that despite the payment, several months have passed with no meaningful progress. Yaaya reportedly keeps citing the need for a court order, which he initially said would take about two weeks. Frustrated by the delay and lack of results, Dura Terkula Samuel has requested a refund but claims to have received only unclear explanations.
The post further notes that Dura is no longer comfortable with how the matter is being handled and is seeking intervention from relevant bodies, including the Human Rights Commission, Nigeria Police Force, ICPC, and the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission.
This latest development comes amid ongoing online discussions involving the parties and highlights growing concerns over the handling of such assistance cases in the public domain. As of now, there has been no response from Yaaya to these specific allegations.
