Saint John Bosco College Students Spearhead Town-Wide Sanitation Drive in Aliade

In a commendable display of community service and environmental responsibility, students and staff of Saint John Bosco College, Aliade, took to the streets today to lead a comprehensive sanitation exercise across the town.

Under the direct leadership of the school’s Principal, Rev. Father Raphael Gyungu, the initiative saw participants actively clearing refuse, sweeping streets, and tidying public spaces. The exercise commenced precisely at 12:00 noon and covered key areas including the busy Aliade-Makurdi Road and the bustling Aliade Main Market.

The cleanup drive was closely followed and documented by Radio Benue reporter Mc Oliver Nyikiyaa, who observed the students and teachers working diligently to improve the town’s appearance and promote better hygiene practices.

According to reports, the hands-on activity forms part of the school’s broader commitment to instilling values of community service and environmental awareness among its students. By stepping out to clean their immediate surroundings, the young participants not only contributed to a cleaner Aliade but also served as role models, encouraging residents and local stakeholders to take greater pride in maintaining a tidy and healthy environment.
