The Benue State University Teaching Hospital (BSUTH) has officially announced the suspension of the ongoing strike by its resident doctors, with full clinical and related services resuming immediately.
In a statement released earlier today, the hospital management confirmed that the industrial action has been called off following productive interventions and negotiations. The resolution brings relief to patients and healthcare users who had faced disruptions in services at the state’s premier tertiary health institution.
The BSUTH management expressed deep appreciation to Governor Rev. Fr. Dr. Hyacinth Iormem Alia for his direct involvement and leadership in resolving the impasse. Gratitude was also extended to the state government’s negotiation team and other key stakeholders whose efforts helped facilitate dialogue and reach an amicable agreement.
The hospital specially commended the resident doctors for their cooperation throughout the process and for their renewed commitment to service delivery. Management assured the public that the return to work will restore normal operations and ensure continued provision of quality healthcare services to all patients.
