A stirring open letter from Asortar James Asortar, the Social Media Aide to Benue State Governor Rev. Fr. Dr. Hyacinth Iormem Alia, has ignited discussions among the state’s citizens. Published via Alia TV Network, the letter calls on the people of Benue to reflect on their actions and rally behind the governor’s leadership ahead of the 2027 re-election.

In the letter, Asortar highlights the divine orchestration of Governor Alia’s rise to power in 2023, drawing a biblical parallel to Jesus’ entry into Jerusalem on a donkey. He emphasizes the governor’s remarkable developments in the state and expresses confidence that these achievements will lead to a doubling of voter support in the next election. “I am confident that you will all double your votes in support of his re-election in 2027 for a second term,” Asortar wrote.
The aide urges citizens to use their God-given intelligence wisely, warning that supporting evil could lead to dire consequences. He also extends gratitude to the people for their votes in 2023 and calls for continued collaboration to build a better Benue.
