On September 8, 2025, the Honourable Minister of Youth, Comrade Ayodele Olawande, attended a significant ceremony in Benue State to witness the official assumption of office by the newly appointed Commissioner for Youth, Sports, and Creativity, Rt. Hon. Tiza Isaac Imojime Orya. The event marked the beginning of a new era for the ministry, with prayers offered for a smooth transition and effective leadership.
During the ceremony, the Federal Minister of Youth pledged to collaborate closely with the new Commissioner to ensure that young people in Benue State and across Nigeria benefit maximally from government programs and opportunities. This commitment underscores a shared vision to empower the youth through strategic initiatives.
In his remarks, Hon. Tiza Isaac Imojime expressed gratitude for the confidence reposed in him and assured stakeholders of his dedication. He promised to work closely with ministry staff to bring out their best, reviewing existing records and introducing new work mechanisms aimed at enhancing efficiency and productivity. Reaffirming his commitment to service, Tiza emphasized, “It is not about the office but the man in the office,” highlighting his determination to drive meaningful transformation for the youth.
Popularly known as the “King of Boys,” the Honourable Commissioner was accompanied by his wife, Mrs. Victoria Kadoon Imojime, alongside family members and friends. The event was conducted under the supervision of the Permanent Secretary, with Civir Terhemba Injo Jabi serving as the Personal Assistant on Media and Publicity to the Commissioner.
This ceremony signals a promising start for youth development in Benue State, with both the Minister and the new Commissioner poised to make a lasting impact.
