Governor Hyacinth Alia Attends Launch of National Community Food Bank Project in Lokoja

Rev. Fr. Hyacinth Iormem Alia, Governor of Benue State, served as the Guest of Honour at the official launch and commissioning of the National Community Food Bank Project for the North-Central geo-political zone in Lokoja, Kogi State, earlier today.

The event highlighted the federal government’s initiative to address food security challenges across the region through the establishment of community food banks. Governor Alia’s participation underscores Benue’s strategic role as a major food-producing state and the administration’s commitment to national efforts aimed at tackling hunger and supporting vulnerable populations.

The colourful ceremony brought together top government officials, traditional rulers, and stakeholders from across the North-Central zone. Governor Alia was prominently featured in various segments of the programme, including the main commissioning event.
