A family in Benue State is desperately seeking public assistance after 25-year-old Faith Ochigbo disappeared during a job-hunting trip to Abuja last month. According to a statement released by her sister, Cherry Gold, Faith traveled to the Federal Capital Territory on November 6, 2025, in search of employment opportunities. The two sisters last communicated on Saturday, November 8, after which all contact abruptly ceased.
Since that date, Faith’s phone has remained switched off, and there has been no trace of her whereabouts despite efforts by the family to reach her through friends, acquaintances, and possible employers in Abuja. Concerned for her safety, the family has now declared her officially missing and is appealing to anyone who may have seen or heard from her to come forward.
Faith Ochigbo is described as a determined young woman who left home with high hopes of securing a job in the nation’s capital, like many other Nigerian youths battling unemployment. Her sudden disappearance has left her relatives distraught and fearful for her well-being.
The family has provided two contact numbers for anyone with useful information: 08161936347 and 07035559149. They are urging the public to report any leads to the nearest police station or to call the numbers directly.
Cases of missing persons, particularly young women traveling alone to urban centers in search of livelihood, continue to raise serious safety concerns across Nigeria. While some are later found safe, others remain unaccounted for years, leaving families in perpetual anguish.
As at the time of this report on December 9, 2025, there has been no official police statement regarding the case, but the family hopes widespread circulation of Faith’s story will help generate credible leads.
Anyone in Abuja or surrounding areas who may have encountered Faith Ochigbo since early November is kindly requested to reach out immediately. Even the smallest piece of information could prove vital in bringing her home safely.
We pray for her safe return and urge everyone to share this story widely.
