A concerned constituent, Mr. Joseph Oche Udeh, has written an open letter to the Senator representing Benue South Senatorial District, Senator Abba Moro, urging him to promote unity across Benue State while remaining focused on delivering effective representation at the National Assembly.
In the letter, Udeh described Moro as an “outstanding politician” whose leadership qualities have earned admiration beyond his immediate constituency. He recalled his personal involvement in political mobilisation during his university days, noting that he actively campaigned for Moro and other Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) candidates across Benue’s Zone C through door-to-door outreach.
Udeh said his participation in the campaign was publicly acknowledged at the time and reflected the widespread support Moro enjoyed across the state. He also recounted a personal experience during his first year at Benue State University when, according to him, a Tiv man openly praised Moro’s character and leadership.
According to Udeh, Moro’s political appeal cuts across ethnic and regional lines, adding that the senator could command significant support in a statewide contest if given a fair opportunity.
However, he appealed to the lawmaker to rise above issues of tribal divisions and political segregation, which he described as long-standing challenges within the state’s political landscape.
“The challenges confronting Zone C are not different from those facing other parts of Benue State,” Udeh wrote, urging the senator to recognise the shared struggles of citizens across the state.
He further expressed confidence that by concentrating on his legislative responsibilities, Moro could help ease the hardships faced by constituents while complementing the efforts of the state government in addressing development challenges.
Udeh concluded by encouraging the senator to continue providing leadership that fosters unity and progress across Benue State.
