A heartfelt celebration took place today at Holy Ghost Parish in Makurdi, where family, friends, clergy, traditional rulers, and political stakeholders gathered for a Thanksgiving Mass honoring Hon. Mark Tersoo Hanmation on his 40th birthday. Fr. Hyacinth Iormem Alia led the congregation in a service that highlighted Hanmation’s dedication and contributions to the community.
Described as a young man with a heart for service, Hanmation has shown unwavering commitment to community development and youth empowerment. Fr. Alia commended his humility, loyalty, and significant contributions to the parish, the youth, and the entire state, marking him as a role model for many.
The occasion also served as a platform for Fr. Alia to reaffirm the administration’s pledge to transform Benue State. Key initiatives include road construction, hospital upgrades, improved schools, flood control, skill acquisition hubs, AI training, fashion and shoe-making ventures, and the Benue Fruit Industry. Despite challenges, the administration remains focused on delivering sustainable development.
However, Fr. Alia emphasized that development and security go hand in hand. He highlighted ongoing collaborative efforts with the Federal Government, the First Lady, and international partners to restore peace and enable people to return to their ancestral homes across the state.
The event underscored a collective commitment to progress and unity, with Hanmation’s milestone serving as an inspiration for continued efforts toward a brighter future for Benue State.
