The Benue State Rural Access and Agricultural Marketing Project (BN-RAAMP) has partnered with the Nigerian Television Authority (NTA) to enhance rural development and agricultural awareness across the state. The collaboration aims to profile and sensitize the public about the project’s activities, aligning with its mandate.
State Project Coordinator Stephen Numbeve welcomed the NTA team, led by Zonal Director Asabe Ak-Mordi, at the BN-RAAMP Office Complex in Makurdi. Numbeve expressed confidence in the partnership, describing NTA as a “veritable electronic media platform” with the widest reach to disseminate information and sensitize rural dwellers about RAAMP objectives. He highlighted the leadership of the broadcast outfit as a key factor making this collaboration imperative.
During the visit, Numbeve showcased one of the 2,000 electronic motorcycles mandated by the Benue State government for BN-RAAMP to distribute through a credit facility scheme. The initiative is designed to support rural communities and boost agricultural marketing. Ak-Mordi received plaudits from the Project Coordinator, reinforcing the synergy between the two entities.
This partnership marks a significant step toward leveraging media to promote sustainable rural development in Benue State.
