The Benue State University of Agriculture, Science, and Technology (BSUAST) in Iugh has announced the commencement of sales for application forms for its 2025/2026 Pre-Science/Remedial Programme. This one-year programme is designed to prepare interested candidates for admission into various Bachelor’s degree programmes across the university’s diverse schools.
Established in 2024 and granted an operating license by the National Universities Commission (NUC) in 2025, BSUAST aims to provide polytechnic education focused on cultivating minds through a wide range of disciplines. These include Agriculture, Agribusiness, Sciences, Computing, Innovation, Industry, Technology, Basic Medical Sciences, Clinical Sciences, Pharmaceutical Sciences, Engineering, Veterinary Medicine, and Allied Health Sciences.
Applications are invited for the Pre-Science/Remedial Programme, which serves as a pathway to the following schools:
– School of Precision Agriculture
– School of Computing and Innovation
– School of Sustainable Forestry and Green Economy
– School of Chemical Sciences and Technology
– School of Basic Medical Sciences
– School of Clinical Sciences
– School of Science and Industry
– School of Allied Health Sciences
– School of Engineering and Technology
– School of Fisheries and Blue Economy
– School of Livestock and Animal Biotechnology
– School of Pharmaceutical Sciences
Located at the takeoff campus on Lugh-Korinya Road, Vandeikya Local Government Area, BSUAST is poised to become a hub of academic excellence in the region.
Interested applicants must possess a minimum of 4 O’Level Credit passes in WASSCE, SSCE, GCE, or its equivalent, including English Language, Mathematics/Further Mathematics, Chemistry/Physics, and Biology/Agricultural Science.

Engr. Japheth Terlumun Igboogo, an aspirant for the Benue State House of Assembly seat in the 2027 general election, recently endorsed the programme. Speaking at the graduation ceremony of Our Lady of the Benue College in Konshisha Local Government Area on October 9, 2025, where he served as chairman, Igboogo urged secondary school graduates to seize this opportunity.
