Benue Governor’s Chief Press Secretary, Sir Tersoo Kula, Honoured as “Icon of Hope in Journalism”

The Nigeria House of Dream Parliament (NHODP) has bestowed its prestigious Award of Excellence on Sir Tersoo Kula, Chief Press Secretary (CPS) to Benue State Governor, Rev. Fr. Hyacinth Iormem Alia, in recognition of his exceptional contributions to journalism professionalism and public service.

The award, which named Sir Kula the “Icon of Hope in Journalism in Nigeria,” was presented on Tuesday at the Government House, Makurdi, by a high-powered delegation from the NGO led by its National Speaker, Comr. Hon. Mike Egilalamics Egila.

In his remarks during the presentation, Comr. Hon. Egila praised Sir Kula for his outstanding service in shaping and projecting a positive public image of the Benue State Government. He highlighted how Kula’s tenure has introduced a high standard of professionalism, transparency, and strategic communication that has not only benefited Benue State but also positively influenced the broader North-Central region.

The ceremony attracted several top government functionaries who joined in commending Sir Kula’s unwavering commitment and dedication. Among those present were Dr. Emmanuel Chenge, Principal Private Secretary to the Governor, and Dr. Aondoaka Asambe, Director-General of the Bureau for Livestock Development and Transboundary Animal Diseases Control. Both described the honour as a well-deserved recognition of Kula’s tireless work ethic and steadfast dedication to duty.

Accepting the award, Sir Tersoo Kula expressed profound gratitude to the Nigeria House of Dream Parliament and dedicated the recognition to Governor Hyacinth Alia. He thanked the governor for the opportunity and trust placed in him to serve the state in such a critical and strategic role.

“This award is not just for me but for the opportunity to serve Benue State with integrity and professionalism. I am grateful to His Excellency for entrusting me with this responsibility,” Kula stated.
