Benue State Governor, Rev. Fr. Hyacinth Alia, has donated state-of-the-art equipment and financial aid to the Nigerian Television Authority (NTA) Makurdi to enhance its broadcasting capabilities. The presentation, made today, Friday, September 12, 2025, through his Chief Press Secretary, Sir Tersoo Kula, underscores the governor’s commitment to media development.
The donation includes a range of equipment such as a PXW-Z90 SONY Camera, 64GB 150MB LEXAR SD-Card, K2 BOYA Wireless Microphones, LED 528 Studio and Camera Lights, tripods, and battery chargers, along with a 5014 Side Camera Bag. Additionally, the governor’s office provided N1,000,000 for renovation work, including car ports and facility upgrades, and N3,200,000 to address pressing needs like diesel, office equipment, and vehicle servicing.
Mrs. Asabe Ak’mordi, NTA Zonal Director, expressed gratitude to Governor Alia, describing his leadership as exceptional and his dedication to media, particularly NTA, as commendable. She assured that the donated resources would be used judiciously to improve operations. Sir Tersoo Kula emphasized that the gesture reflects Alia’s vision for inclusive development across Benue State, aiming to enhance NTA Makurdi’s core mandate of accurate, balanced, and impactful broadcasting.
This support is poised to strengthen NTA Makurdi’s ability to inform, educate, and entertain the public while promoting development in Benue State. The station’s management pledged to project the governor’s administration effectively, marking a significant step forward for local media infrastructure.
