Barr. Dr. Cosmas Akighir, Chairman of the North Central Development Commission (NCDC), has been unanimously elected as Chairman of the Governing Boards of all Regional Development Commissions in Nigeria.
The decision was reached at a recent meeting of the Chairmen of the seven Regional Development Commissions held in Abuja. Members endorsed the Benue-born leader to provide overall leadership and coordination for the collective body.
The seven commissions include the North East Development Commission (NEDC), North West Development Commission (NWDC), South East Development Commission (SEDC), South West Development Commission (SWDC), South South Development Commission (SSDC), Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC), and the North Central Development Commission (NCDC).
This recognition highlights Dr. Akighir’s distinguished leadership and commitment to advancing regional development across the country.
