Angus Fraser Memorial High School in Makurdi, Benue State, has brought pride to the state after a stellar performance at the National Mathematics Tournament, where one of its students claimed a gold medal and the team earned widespread recognition for outstanding achievement.

The nationwide academic competition gathers top-performing students from schools across Nigeria to challenge their analytical thinking, problem-solving skills, and mathematical prowess. Representing Angus Fraser Memorial High School were five talented students: Iorun Stephen, Uke-Manger St. Patrick, Tarbo David, Egaji Michael, and Shakpande Tertindi.

Among the team, Iorun Stephen, a Basic 9 student, distinguished himself by securing the gold medal with an impressive score of 80 per cent in the rigorous contest. His exceptional performance stood as the highlight of the school’s participation, demonstrating remarkable dedication and intellectual ability.

The other team members also received accolades for their strong showings, contributing to the overall success and reinforcing the school’s rising profile in academic excellence. The collective effort showcased not only individual brilliance but also the strength of teamwork and preparation.
