Benue State House of Assembly Announces New Principal Officers

In a significant development, the Benue State House of Assembly has dissolved its principal officers and appointed new ones, effective immediately. The announcement was made by Zape Michael Upaa, Press Secretary to the Speaker, on Thursday, September 11, 2025.

  • Hon. Thomas Dugeri – Majority Leader
  • Hon. Abraham Jabi – Acting Deputy Majority Leader
  • Hon. Cyril Ikong – Majority Whip
  • Hon. Simon Gabo – Acting Deputy Majority Whip
  • Hon. Abu Umoro – Acting Minority Leader
  • Hon. Cephase Dyako – Acting Deputy Minority Leader
  • Hon. Samuel Jiji – Acting Minority Whip
  • Hon. Moses Egbodo – Acting Deputy Minority Whip
