A chilling incident involving a Benue indigene in Accra, Ghana, has sparked concerns over the safety of Nigerians residing or visiting the West African neighbor, with reports of a targeted attack disguised as a police raid aimed at organ harvesting.
According to a Facebook post by D’naked Elder Sughne, a man from Benue State narrowly escaped death after intruders wearing police uniforms burst into his apartment around 11pm on Thursday, January 2, 2026. The assailants reportedly shot and killed two of his housemates—one from Benin-Edo State and the other from Warri-Delta State—before harvesting their private parts while the victim watched helplessly from the kitchen where he was cooking.
The post described the attackers cutting the victims’ heads and removing organs in a gruesome manner, claiming the Benue man was “about to survive” but managed to hide during the ordeal. His last known location was Urban Apartments headed Aflao Road, Accra. The poster mentioned immediately contacting the Ghana Police Service, but the victim’s phone was off at the time.
