The Federal Polytechnic Wannune has released an important update for candidates applying for its National Diploma (ND) and Higher National Diploma (HND) programmes. According to a recent press release, the screening exercise for ND programmes is scheduled to take place on October 24th and 25th, 2025, at the school campus.
Admission is now available for the 2025/2026 academic session into a wide range of ND and remedial programmes, all approved by the National Board for Technical Education (NBTE). The ND offerings include:
– Accountancy
– Banking and Finance
– Agricultural Technology
– Business Administration and Management
– Computer Engineering
– Computer Science
– Electrical and Electronics Engineering
– Public Administration
– Estate Management
– Cooperative Economics and Management
– Animal Health Production
– Statistics
– Quantity Survey
– Urban and Regional Planning
– Building Technology
– Library and Information Science
– Mass Communication
– Science Laboratory Technology
For those interested in advanced studies, the polytechnic is also offering HND programmes, including:
– Accountancy
– Business Administration and Management
– Public Administration
– Statistics
– Computer Engineering Technology
– Electrical Electronics Engineering Technology (Power and Machines option)
– Electrical Electronics Engineering Technology (Electronics/Telecommunications option)
– Agricultural Extension and Management
– Cybersecurity and Data Protection

Additionally, the institution encourages students who applied for NELFUND loans to visit the bursary unit for their payments.
UTME screening forms are available at the ICT unit of the polytechnic’s permanent site in Wannune. Candidates yet to register for the screening are urged to seize this opportunity to proceed with the exercise. Those who did not initially apply to Federal Polytechnic Wannune during UTME can still change their institution to Wannune. All candidates must upload their prerequisite qualifications on the JAMB Portal (CAPS) to qualify for admission and should bring original credentials, including their JAMB admission letter, to the screening.
The general public is also informed that admission forms for approved HND programmes remain on sale. Interested candidates can apply for these opportunities at the polytechnic.
