NBTE Team Visits Gboko Polytechnic for Familiarization and Policy Assessment

A delegation from the National Board for Technical Education (NBTE), led by the Director of the North Central Zonal Office, Mr. Bello Abdullachim, visited Gboko Polytechnic in Gboko on Thursday, October 16, 2025. The visit aimed to strengthen collaboration and assess the institution’s progress in implementing the board’s new operational policies and standards.

A key highlight of the visit was the official presentation of the new NBTE Operational Manual to the Rector, Engr. Hyacinth Abanyam, by Mr. Abdullachim. During an interactive session, the Director commended the management for their compliance with directives from the last accreditation exercise, expressing satisfaction with the institution’s development pace. He remarked, “I am quite impressed by the trajectory of your progress and I hope you will maintain the momentum. We want Polytechnic graduates to stand out in both mentality and skill set.”

In response, Rector Engr. Abanyam thanked the NBTE team for their visit and reaffirmed the school’s Proprietor’s commitment to maintaining academic excellence. He assured that the Proprietor is deeply passionate about ensuring Gboko Polytechnic ranks among the top three polytechnics in the North Central region by 2028. Other management members, including the Registrar, Mrs. Mary Gavar; the Bursar, Mr. Deakaa Joseph; Dr. Sylvester Tsambu; and Mr. Agundudu Michael, also expressed appreciation for NBTE’s continuous support and guidance.
