ALGON Chairman Visits National Secretariat, Accompanied by Predecessor

The Executive Chairman of Kwande Local Government Council and current Benue State ALGON Chairman, Hon. Vitalis Terhile Neji, paid a courtesy visit to the National Secretariat of the Association of Local Governments of Nigeria (ALGON) in Abuja today. He was accompanied by his immediate predecessor, Hon. Orwough Maurice, Executive Chairman of Guma Local Government Council and former Benue State ALGON Chairman.

During the visit, Hon. Neji held a formal meeting with the National ALGON President to introduce the new leadership of the association in Benue State. Discussions focused on strengthening collaboration with strategic partners and advancing solutions to key developmental challenges affecting local governments across the state.

The delegation was received by the Special Adviser to the ALGON National President on Intergovernmental Affairs, Hon. Usman Bala, who commended the leadership transition and reaffirmed the national body’s support for Benue ALGON’s programmes and initiatives. In a show of continuity and goodwill, Hon. Orwough formally presented Hon. Neji to the national leadership, pledging his full cooperation to ensure a smooth transition and the effective execution of the association’s mandate in Benue State.
