Mimidoo Joy Maugther Arrested for Alleged Trafficking of Girls to Ghana for Prostitution

A woman identified as Mimidoo Joy Maugther has been arrested by security operatives in Benue State for allegedly trafficking young girls to Ghana for prostitution.

According to a social media report that has gained attention, Maugther confessed to recruiting and trafficking only three Benue girls to her sister, identified as Mary, in Ghana. However, evidence reportedly indicates that eight girls were involved, including Msendoo, Sandra, Faith, Joy (2), and others.

The suspect hails from Ikyurav-ya in Kwande Local Government Area of Benue State. She is said to be a member of the Catholic Youth Organisation of Nigeria (CYON) at St. Francis Catholic Church, Makurdi, and had worked at the State Secretariat in Makurdi.

Maugther is currently in police custody as investigations continue. The case has sparked calls for further details and action against others who may be involved in similar activities.
