Underserved Makurdi Community Urges SDP Candidate to Improve Electricity, Roads

Residents of Adaka 1 in Logo Ward of Makurdi on Tuesday hosted the Social Democratic Party (SDP) gubernatorial candidate for the 2027 elections, Prof. Sebastine Hon, with a strong appeal for the construction of the major access road and improved electricity supply.

Community leaders, including elder statesman Prof. Tor Anyiin, traditional rulers led by Zaki Moses Ihomde, Woman Leader Mrs. Janet Akume, and Youth Leader Emmanuel Iorbee, voiced their concerns during the visit.

Terna, Chairman of the Landlords Association, described the visit as historic and expressed optimism that Prof. Hon would address the poor state of the access road and electricity if elected.

Former Chairman of Logo Local Council, Chief Benjamin Uzenda, thanked the candidate and assured him of the community’s support, while accusing the current administration of neglect in handling insecurity.

Prof. Hon was commended for addressing the community with clarity and passion, with residents expressing belief that things would improve under his leadership.
