Four Benue Girls Intercepted in Lagos En Route to Ghana for Prostitution

Four young girls from Benue State have been intercepted in Lagos while attempting to travel to Ghana for olosho (prostitution) business.

The girls, identified as Jessica and Doose Anongo from Logo Local Government Area, Monica Aondona from Vandeikya Local Government Area, and Apa Joy from Ukum Local Government Area, were stopped before they could proceed on their journey.

According to the report, Benue Links Nig. Ltd has volunteered to transport the girls back to Benue State free of charge, where they will undergo the necessary legal process.

Special appreciation was extended to Zege’Orkwande Sughnen Yaaya for his timely intervention and consistent support in highlighting the situation.

The incident has been described as a reminder of the urgent need for greater awareness, guidance, and opportunities for young people to prevent them from falling into dangerous situations. Community leaders and stakeholders are being urged to continue protecting and supporting the youth in Benue State.
