Rt. Hon. Hyacinth Aondona Dajoh, the immediate past Speaker of the Benue State House of Assembly and member representing Gboko West Constituency, has clarified that his recent birthday address was not meant to maliciously expose the state government but to present facts surrounding his resignation as Speaker
Speaking at his 50th birthday thanksgiving service held at NKST Church Iorniem, Mbatiav in Gboko Local Government Area, Dajoh explained that setting the record straight was necessary to protect his integrity and shield his children from future vilification.
The former Speaker stated firmly: “Everything I said is true. I shared those details to clear my name and for the sake of my children, so they will not be mocked tomorrow. There was absolutely no impeachment plot against my brother, the Governor.”
He further noted that if his intention had been to expose the government, he possessed sufficient documents and facts to do so convincingly, but no such revelations were intended. He only highlighted specific issues that led to their disagreement in order to clear the air.
Reflecting on his journey, Dajoh paid glowing tribute to his late father, Elder Emmanuel Nzuul, for the positive seeds sown in Mbatiav. He reminded the congregation that life operates on the principle of harvest, urging them to consistently sow good seeds in business, civil service, or wherever they find themselves.
The former Speaker expressed deep gratitude to God for reaching 50 years and thanked his supporters for their unwavering solidarity, assuring them that his vision for the development of Gboko West Constituency remains intact.
The thanksgiving service was attended by his immediate family, the birthday planning committee, and close political allies. The clarification was issued by Agber Kulugh, Media Aide to Rt. Hon. Aondona Dajoh, on 7th June, 2026.
