The Benue State Youth Leader, Hon. Gbenda Terver, has strongly condemned the recent abduction of his colleague, friend, and brother, Hon. Terver Atu (Krazyztee Atu Terver), the Principal Special Assistant (PSA) to Governor Alia on Media and Youth Mobilization. The incident, reported to have occurred last night, September 16, 2025, has sent shockwaves through the community.
According to reports, the PSA was allegedly abducted in Abuja by unknown men upon his arrival from Makurdi. His wife shared the distressing news via her Facebook page, suggesting that he was taken to an unknown destination. The lack of clarity surrounding the incident has heightened concerns among residents and officials alike.
Hon. Gbenda Terver, who also serves as the Senior Special Assistant (SSA) to Governor Alia on Youth Organization and Illegal Levies, described the act as barbaric, unlawful, and life-threatening. Speaking on behalf of the youth of Benue State, he called for swift action to address the escalating security concerns. “This is an unacceptable and cowardly act by yet-to-be-identified individuals,” Terver stated.
In response, the Benue State Youth has urged security operatives and relevant authorities to treat the matter with urgency. They are calling for coordinated efforts to ensure the safe return of the PSA, enabling him to reunite with his family, friends, and political associates. The youth emphasized the need for modalities that will lead to the swift resolution of this crisis.
The abduction has reignited discussions about the safety of public officials in the region, with many demanding enhanced security measures. As the situation unfolds, the community awaits further updates and hopes for the safe recovery of Hon. Terver Atu.
