Members of the APC Benue State Media Team (BAMET) have paid a solidarity visit to Dr. Jeffrey Kuraun, a frontline governorship aspirant, at his residence in Abuja.
The delegation, which included representatives from the three senatorial zones of Benue State, engaged in discussions on the future of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the state and the development of Benue.
The team expressed strong support for Dr. Kuraun’s quest for justice following the recently concluded APC governorship primaries, which he and other party members alleged were marred by irregularities, including diversion of election materials and falsification of results.
Speaking on behalf of the delegation, Hon. Dan-Morgan Ihomun, State Publicity Secretary of the APC in Benue State, commended Dr. Kuraun’s resilience, dedication, and commitment to democratic principles. Other speakers, including Festus Aoraan (Benue North-East), Elder Terna Tor (Benue North-West), and Hon. Godswill Otsepa Iduh (Benue South), praised his courage and contributions to the party.
Mrs. Elizabeth Torkwase Kuraun, wife of Dr. Kuraun, also urged BAMET members to remain steadfast despite prevailing challenges.
In his response, Dr. Kuraun appreciated the team’s visit and encouraged party faithful to see current difficulties as opportunities for growth. He stressed the need for credible candidates with genuine grassroots support to lead the APC to victory in future elections.
The meeting ended on a positive note, with participants reaffirming their commitment to the party and good governance in Benue State.
