Bishop Ogi John Otor Raises Alarm Over Suspicious Gathering of Hausa-Speaking Bike Men in Makurdi

A public alert has been issued calling for urgent police intervention following reports of a large gathering of Hausa-speaking commer, cial motorcyclists (bike men) at NKST Lortyer, opposite the former BIRS office in Makurdi, Benue State.

The alert, originally posted by Bishop Ogi John Otor (and shared by Asom D Jerry), describes a “catalogue of bike men” who speak Hausa converging in the area for an unknown reason. The location is noted as a student-dominated zone, raising concerns about potential security risks.

The post, titled “FOR IMMEDIATE ACTION,” urges security agencies to respond swiftly, stating: “Security agencies, this is for your immediate action.”

It was explicitly addressed to the Police, with copies sent to the **Nigeria Police Force, Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), and other relevant agencies.

Such reports reflect the prevailing atmosphere of heightened suspicion and security alertness in parts of Makurdi, especially in busy student areas. As of the time of the post, there was no immediate official confirmation or response from security agencies regarding the gathering.
