A commentator on Benuevibes, identified as Wan Mbavaa TV, has issued a blunt assessment of Governor Hyacinth Alia’s performance on security, warning that failure to step up efforts could make him vulnerable to former Governor Samuel Ortom in a future election.
In a post shared on social media, the commentator stated, “Gov. Alia, I am your sister and I will not lie to you. If you do not step up on security, even Ortom, our former governor, will defeat you in an election if he decides to contest.” The remark, delivered in a lighthearted manner but carrying a serious political undertone, has drawn attention to ongoing concerns over insecurity in parts of Benue State, including recent attacks in Logo and Agatu Local Government Areas.
While the statement is not an official declaration by any political figure, it reflects growing public discourse linking the administration’s handling of security to potential electoral outcomes. Neither Governor Alia nor former Governor Ortom has responded to the comment.
