Signs of Peace Return to Shittle and Ukum as Community Rebuilds

A wave of hope is sweeping through Wende village in Utange council ward along Tor Donga, Zaki Biam road, as peace begins to return to the Shittle and Ukum communities at a remarkable pace. Once occupied by Fulani herdsmen, rendering the village uninhabitable, the area is now witnessing a transformation, marked by a recent condolence visit that fostered unity and shared meals.

Hon. Steve Numbeve, expressing his joy, shared his experience on a visit where he ate and drank with the community, signaling a return to normalcy. He extended his appreciation to His Excellency, the Executive Governor of Benue State, Fr. Hyacinth Iormem Alia, Executive Chairman Katsina Ala Local Government, Justine O Shaku Ph.D., and the entire Shittle and Ukum sons and daughters who have made this resurgence possible. “More grease to your elbow,” he added in encouragement.
