In a remarkable display of compassion and community service, Senior Pastor of Dunamis International Gospel Centre, Dr. Paul Enenche, has successfully concluded a week-long free medical outreach that brought essential healthcare services to more than 7,000 residents across Benue State. The initiative, held from December 15 to 19, targeted underserved Idoma communities including Igumale, Iga Okpaya, Adoka, and Otukpo, providing free consultations, treatments, and relief materials to those in need.
Dr. Enenche, a trained medical doctor turned clergyman, emphasized the importance of collective responsibility in addressing healthcare gaps, particularly in rural areas during the festive season. He urged individuals, faith-based organizations, and governments to step up humanitarian efforts, noting that compassion must be translated into tangible action for those unable to afford basic medical care. Quoting the late evangelist Dr. Uma Ukpai, he reminded participants: “As you travel round the world, never forget your ancestral home.”
The outreach culminated in a midnight prayer session where Enenche prayed for peace, healing, and restoration in Idoma land, while calling for ongoing collaboration to broaden access to healthcare and support services throughout Benue. This annual return to his roots underscores his commitment to complementing government initiatives and closing disparities in rural healthcare.
Known for integrating his medical background with ministry, Dr. Enenche has long championed such outreaches through Dunamis, impacting thousands with not just spiritual upliftment but practical aid. As Benue continues to face challenges in healthcare delivery, initiatives like this offer a beacon of hope, demonstrating the power of faith-driven philanthropy in fostering community well-being and unity.
