Ohimini Progressive Elders Forum Endorses Hon. Blessing Onyeche Onuh for Re-election

The Ohimini Progressive Elders Forum, also known as Omebebe L’Igbo, has formally endorsed the lawmaker representing the Ohimini Federal Constituency at the National Assembly, Hon. Lady Blessing Onyeche Onuh, pledging to purchase her nomination form ahead of the next election cycle.

In a statement signed by key leaders of the forum including Elder Alhaji Idi Umaru (Zone C), Elder Otanwa Ezekiel (Zone A), and Elder Chris Oche (Zone B) the elders described their decision as a collective resolution rooted in Hon. Onuh’s impressive track record since assuming office.

The group highlighted a wide range of development projects and interventions they attributed to the lawmaker, including:

– Construction of the Agadagba and Ipiga Ukpobi legacy bridges
– Classroom block construction in Abakpa and Anmoda communities
– Provision of boreholes in Ugene, Adankali, Ipkoke, and Ebu, among others
– Road construction from Onyagede to Awume
– Installation of streetlights across several villages and public places in the ten council wards of Ohimini
– Empowerment and employment opportunities for youths and women

The elders further noted that additional projects have been captured in the 2025 and 2026 budgets and are awaiting implementation, underscoring the lawmaker’s continued commitment to community development.

The forum commended other local leaders for their support and called on sons and daughters of Ohimini to rally behind the initiative by contributing toward the nomination form purchase.

The endorsement is seen as a significant show of confidence in Hon. Onuh’s representation, particularly from the influential elders’ bloc, ahead of the 2027 general elections.
