Popular Nigerian content creator and adventurer Emmiwuks (real name withheld) has officially announced the end of his ambitious “Nigeria to USA on a Bicycle” project following the denial of his United States visa application.

In an emotional farewell message shared across social media platforms on March 18, 2026, Emmiwuks revealed that exactly 68 days after returning to Nigeria to fix his Schengen and USA visas, both applications were unsuccessful. The Schengen visa was denied after a 29-day wait following his January 29 interview, while the US visa rejection came on March 18.

“That moment broke something in me,” he wrote. “Because this journey means everything to me… Was my only offence being Nigerian?”

The young adventurer had embarked on the cross-continental bicycle expedition with global attention, cycling through multiple African countries and receiving widespread support from followers who provided water, shelter, food, prayers, and encouragement along the route. He described the outpouring of love from Nigeria to Mauritania across 12 countries as “real love” that made the setback even more painful.

Emmiwuks emphasized that he had deliberately chosen to begin the journey without secured visas, refusing to let documentation or finances stop his dream. He credited his supporters for showing up consistently, turning strangers into what he called “the family I have.”

Despite the heavy disappointment, he made it clear that this is only the end of a phase—not the end of Emmiwuks. “I will come back. Stronger. Wiser. Unstoppable,” he promised, adding that he now needs time to pause, breathe, reconnect with God, seek direction, and learn from the experience.

Emmiwuks concluded his message with gratitude to Africa and his global “family,” signing off with a heavy heart but undiminished determination.
