Hon. Terver Atu, who serves as the Principal Special Assistant to the Governor on Youth and Media Mobilization, was reportedly kidnapped by an unidentified group. The forum expressed grave concern over the lack of communication regarding his condition or the intentions of the abductors, describing the development as both troubling and heart-wrenching.

In a resolute statement, the Forum called for the unconditional and immediate release of Hon. Atu, highlighting his active role in speaking out and raising awareness about the good works of his principal, Rev Fr Dr Hyacinth Iormem Alia. The group also pointed to a pattern of targeted incidents, referencing the recent attack on Haakayav Tombu Peter in Makurdi and now the abduction of Hon. Atu in Abuja. They urged those behind what they describe as selective harassment of Governor Alia’s supporters to rethink their actions and allow peace to prevail.
