The Chief Medical Director of Benue State University Teaching Hospital (BSUTH), Dr. Terungwa Stephen Hwande, has ordered immediate and free medical treatment for Mama Rebecca Suswam, the 70-year-old woman who was recently released from unjust imprisonment in Gboko. The directive comes in response to her ordeal stemming from a land dispute involving an ex-military officer, Mr. Mathias Mungwa, which had drawn widespread attention and calls for support.
According to a statement from Alia TV Network, Mama Rebecca has now regained her freedom through what has been described as God’s mercy and divine intervention. The post expresses gratitude for this positive turn of events, emphasizing the relief felt by her family and supporters after the challenging circumstances of her detention.
Comr. Asortar James Asortar, Special Assistant to the Governor on Social Media, is currently en route from Gboko to Makurdi with Mama Rebecca to ensure she receives the comprehensive medical care required at BSUTH, as instructed by Dr. Hwande.
