Popular comedian Funnyvita is counting his blessings after a terrifying abduction ordeal that turned out to be a case of mistaken identity. The entertainer was released around 11 p.m. on October 31, 2025, following several hours in the hands of kidnappers who reportedly targeted someone else entirely.

According to Funnyvita’s account, the abductors seized his phone shortly after grabbing him and proceeded to transfer ₦250,000 from his bank account. It was only after the transaction that they realized he wasn’t their intended victim—believed to be a certain Ordubu Deli. In a bizarre twist, the kidnappers allegedly pressed Funnyvita for information on Hon. Haakyav Tombu Peter, demanding details about the politician’s business location and Abuja residence.
