Benue State’s efforts to revive its oil palm industry have gained momentum as Chinese investors signaled readiness to partner with Governor Hyacinth Alia’s administration on the Benue Oil Palm Development Project. Represented by his Special Adviser on Foreign Investment, Hon. Addingi Alex, Governor Alia highlighted that discussions with the Chinese delegation have been positive. The collaboration will focus on large-scale oil palm cultivation, modern processing plants, and value-chain development, aimed at creating jobs, expanding revenue, and empowering local farmers.

The project will include high-yield nurseries and farmer training in modern techniques.
