Benue State Commissioner for Marine and Blue Economy, Mr. Dennis Ter Iyaighgba, has expressed confidence in the leadership of the Rural Access and Agricultural Marketing Project (RAAMP) in complementing the Governor’s vision for quality and effective service delivery. This statement came during a familiarization visit to the RAAMP office complex in Makurdi, aimed at fostering synergy to actualize the administration’s developmental goals.
Accompanied by his Chief of Staff, Richard Imoter Nomkpo, Technical Assistant Dr. Samuel Iyaighgba, Head of Media, Publicity and Orientation Lubem Gena, and other key officials, the Commissioner highlighted the visit’s purpose. He emphasized exploring areas of collaboration to align with the Governor’s policy document for a renewed Benue, noting with satisfaction the ongoing transformation at the RAAMP office complex. Ter urged the team to sustain this momentum as a platform for improving the fortunes of rural dwellers.
The Commissioner, whose mandate includes overseeing water transport, sand, gravel facilities, JTs establishment, water pollution monitoring, and stakeholder engagements to reposition the state, called on RAAMP to maintain its transformative efforts. State Project Coordinator Stephen Nunbeve welcomed the visit, describing it as timely in pursuing quality programs to alleviate rural conditions. Nunbeve outlined RAAMP’s mandate to improve rural roads, construct stores, warehouses, culverts, and bridges across all 23 local government areas.
This collaborative effort underscores a shared commitment to enhancing infrastructure and agricultural marketing, promising a brighter future for Benue’s rural communities.
