The Benue Digital Infrastructure Company (BDIC) Plc has kicked off a three-day training program on e-governance tools, targeting staff members of the Ministry of Justice and Public Order. This initiative, launched today, aims to enhance digital literacy and improve service delivery across the state’s government ministries.
According to Engr. Cephas Abur, Group Head of System Support and Data Management at BDIC, the training will be followed by the installation of servers and equipment to support Governor Hyacinth Alia’s e-governance policy. The training is scheduled to conclude on Wednesday.
Thomas Ese, Esq., the Permanent Secretary and Solicitor General of the Ministry, praised the initiative and pledged to facilitate a seamless training experience. He emphasized the importance of collaboration in achieving the goals of the e-governance policy.
Prof. Timothy Yangien Ornguga, Attorney General and Commissioner for Justice and Public Order, also expressed appreciation for the training and assured the ministry’s full cooperation. He highlighted that the e-governance policy aligns with Governor Alia’s vision to make Benue State a model for digital transformation in Nigeria. Prof. Ornguga urged ministry staff to demonstrate resilience and dedication to administrative efficiency.
This program marks a significant step toward modernizing government operations in Benue State, with the potential to set a benchmark for digital governance across the region.
