The Chairman of the Association of Local Governments of Nigeria (ALGON), Benue State Chapter and Chairman of Katsina Ala Local Government Council, Rt. Hon. Dr. Justine O. Shaku, has approved the appointment of Mr. Benjamin Agesan as Secretary to the Office of the Chairman, ALGON, Benue State.
The appointment takes immediate effect and forms part of efforts to strengthen the administrative machinery of the Chairman’s office and ensure effective coordination of its activities.
Agesan is a graduate of History from Benue State University, Makurdi, where he also obtained a Master of Science (M.Sc.) degree in History. His academic background and experience, the Chairman said, place him in a good position to contribute to the effective administration and coordination of activities within the office.
Dr. Shaku congratulated Mr. Agesan on his appointment and charged him to approach the new responsibility with dedication, professionalism, discipline and a strong sense of service. He urged the new Secretary to maintain effective communication and coordination with relevant stakeholders while ensuring that the responsibilities of the office are discharged efficiently and in the overall interest of ALGON and local government administration in Benue State.
The Chairman expressed confidence in Agesan’s ability to justify the confidence reposed in him and contribute positively to the administration’s objectives.
