Benue Speaker Appoints Hon. Labaran Tanko as 2027 Campaign Director-General

The Honourable Speaker of the Benue State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Berger Alfred Emberga, has approved the appointment of Hon. Labaran Tanko as the Director-General of his 2027 Campaign Organisation.

Hon. Tanko, a former Supervisory Councillor in Makurdi Local Government Area and former elected Councillor representing North Bank Ward II, brings extensive experience as a grassroots politician with a strong background in public service and party mobilisation.

Shortly after receiving the appointment, Hon. Tanko expressed profound appreciation to the Speaker for the confidence reposed in him, describing it as a call to greater service. He pledged to work in close synergy with party leaders, political stakeholders, government appointees, youths, women, and other support groups to build a formidable campaign structure aimed at delivering overwhelming victories for Rt. Hon. Berger Alfred Emberga and Governor Hyacinth Iormem Alia in the 2027 general elections.

The appointee assured the Speaker of his unflinching loyalty and commitment, promising an inclusive, issue-based, and result-oriented campaign that would strengthen the All Progressives Congress (APC) across Benue State. He also called on party members and supporters to remain united behind the party’s vision.
